Frequently asked questions.
Short answers. If yours is missing, write to [email protected].
Largely, yes. If you lose connection, inspections, treatments and other records are saved on your device as pending and sent automatically when you're back online. What you'd already viewed stays available to read. Some features, such as varroa photo analysis, need a connection.
On our own server in Portugal, inside the EU. We don't use AWS, Google Cloud or Azure. Communication is encrypted (HTTPS) and we make encrypted daily backups.
Right now, nothing: Apivoo is free during early access and we don't ask for a credit card. A Pro plan with extra features is planned; its price and content will be published before any charge exists.
It's available in six languages, works out the withdrawal period of your treatments, produces an annual summary as a PDF (Portuguese format, for DGAV) and warns you based on your own records, with no sensors. Your data stays in the European Union and belongs to you.
No. We don't sell data, don't use it for advertising and don't train AI models on your information. We only rely on essential technical providers (server, transactional email, payments where applicable) listed in the Privacy Policy.
Yes, at any time, as JSON and CSV, with inspections, treatments, harvests and finances. You download it yourself, in the app, without asking anyone.
The app generates an annual summary of your colonies from your records, which you can download as a PDF and use to prepare the declaration. It is not submitted to DGAV automatically: always check the data and the required format before submitting.
You can use the same account on several devices. Sharing with other people, each with their own account, isn't available yet — if you manage hives together with someone, write to [email protected].
Apivoo was created in Portugal by someone who knows beekeeping in the field and wanted a practical tool. There's no marketing team and no investors; it's slow, hand-crafted work. You can talk to me directly at [email protected].
Your data is yours and export (JSON and CSV) is always available, so you can keep a full copy whenever you like. Significant changes to the Terms of Use are announced by email.
Yes. Each apiary can have coordinates, which you type in or mark on the map, and it appears on the apiary map. Tap one to open it.
Yes. Apivoo's calendar has a subscription link (.ics) that you add to Google Calendar, the iPhone calendar or Outlook, and your tasks show up there. If the link is shared by mistake, you generate a new one and the old one stops working.
Yes. Each entry has a date, description, amount and category, and can be linked to an apiary. It doesn't replace your accounting and doesn't issue invoices.
Not yet. The import that exists is for a JSON copy made by Apivoo itself, which adds the records to the ones you already have. To get started, you create your apiaries and hives in the app.
In Settings → Danger zone → Delete account, with your password. The account and all its data (apiaries, hives, inspections, attachments) are deleted immediately and for good, and you get a confirmation email. Before that, you can export everything as JSON and CSV.
